1. TAISYU YAKINIKU

Founded in 2011, Gerai Makan Japanese BBQ Taisyu Yakiniku is the first authentic outdoor Japanese BBQ restaurant in Malaysia. With fresh meat and vegetables selection, patrons can also chill and drink a Sake or two to enjoy the night. RECOMMENDED DISH:
Genghis Khan is a grilled lamb dish. The meat is marinated to cut the strong smell of lamb and tastes amazing when grilled. Pairing this with a nice, cold beer is a must.

2. GINDACO

The concept of the stall is just like the ones which you can find on the streets of Japan! Gindaco serves four variants of it’s takoyaki – Original, Negi Dako, Cheese Mentaiko and Teritama. Receive your sizzling hot takoyaki within 10-15 minutes!

RECOMMENDED DISH: 
Nego Daco has a crispy exterior and fluffy texture inside pairs well with the tonkatsu sauce and mayonnaise. Bite into a generous amount of octopus with a slighly chewy texture. Negi is a flavourful type of green onion and complements the Takoyaki very well.

3. MARUHI IZAKAYA

A nice Japanese sakaba (sake place) which serves authentic Japanese comfort food. Open for only 5 hours a day, it’s usually packed so head there early for a good seat!

RECOMMENDED DISH: 
Maruhi Don is a firm favorite, the flavors are very similar to those from Japan! Tasty minced chicken and egg covers plump rice for a simple yet heartwarming dish.

4. NIHON KAI

Nihon Kai is a Japanese restaurant which offers a great look and feel to what a typical Japanese restaurant would be. Besides, the food and drinks are fresh, affordable and the service is welcoming. Spend a few hours dining in a comfy and casual environment.

RECOMMENDED DISH: 
The sashimi plate is great with a big portion. the freshness and quality of the fish is high and will leave you craving for more. When you taste it, you feel like you are in reminiscent NIHONKAI because of the freshness.

5. Isaki Japanese Restaurant

The food is great, unpretentious Japanese food that you enjoy anytime. It is not the cheapest Japanese restaurant but the food definitely makes up for the price.

RECOMMENDED DISH: 
Make sure to try their sashimi, an assortment of delicious fish with outstanding quality. Great to share with friends and family, so it is best to order different types.

6. Kushi Raku

A simple yakitori restaurant with a very tasty selection of meats and vegetables on skewers. Perfectly flame grilled and beautifully seasoned.

RECOMMENDED DISH: 
The grills use an infra-red heating system and are imported from Japan, so each kushiyaki is done to perfection. Never over cooked but just nice to retain the succulence and tenderness of the meats.
