Japan Expo Malaysia 2018 started with a bang at Pavilion KL and the 3-Day festival, which had drawn more than 120,000 entrepreneurs, traders and most importantly fans of all things Japanese to the biggest all Japan event in Malaysia, concluded with even louder cheers!

1. Sayaka Komuro (King Cream Soda)

1. Can you describe your feeling towards this year’s Japan Expo Malaysia?
The crowd in Malaysia gave me warm and happy vibes when they sang together with me. I want to sing again.

2. What have inspired you to be an artist?
When I was young, I admired Morning Musume that I saw on TV.

3. Is there any food you want to eat in Malaysia?
I want to try Nasi Goreng and Chicken Rice. I’ve tried yakisoba and Char Siew Noodle from Jalan Alor.

4. What is your favorite food?
Noodles and spicy food.

5. Do you have any artists that you look up to?
Southern All Stars, Yumi Matsutoya and Amuro Namie

6. What is your first impression about Malaysia & the Malaysian crowd?
I was surprised that the crowd is very lively!!

7. Can you tell us about how you started your career as an artist?
I started by attending piano, sing and dance class when I was young.

8. Do you have anything that keeps you passionate about your job?
Always remember the feelings you like about music.

9. Do you have anything to tell to the Malaysian fans?
Thank you for the liveliness and the fun!! I hope to see you guys again…


2. Ryuji Aoki

1. Can you describe your feeling towards this year’s Japan Expo Malaysia?
This is my first time performing here and Malaysian people are easy to get along with. I like it.

2. What inspired you to be an artist?
Being an artist was my childhood dream.

3. Is there any food you want to eat in Malaysia?
Bak Kut Teh.

4. What is your favorite food?
Sushi.

5. Do you have any artist that you look up to?
There are too many to write here (Laughs)

6. What is your 1st impression about Malaysia & the Malaysian crowd?
The people, food and the town is amazing, I seriously I want to book a room and stay longer! (Laughs)

7. Can you tell us how you started your career as an artist?
I started my career after winning the NHK Nodojiman contest.

8. Do you have anything that keeps you passionate about your job?
Always believe in yourself and never blame others.

9. Do you have anything to tell the Malaysian fans?
This is my second visit to Malaysia and I really like this country. I love all of my fans and I will improve my performance.
